Give the writer a factual starting point

Provide your existing responsibilities, projects and qualifications together with the target posting. Ask for missing information to be flagged rather than invented. Do not request a higher score at the expense of accurate experience.

Keep the original draft beside the rewrite. Check whether the tool changed your level of responsibility, renamed an employer, introduced software you have never used or converted a team result into an individual accomplishment.

Review the document in three passes

First check facts: dates, titles, credentials, metrics and project ownership. Then check relevance: does the document explain the work needed for this particular role? Finally check presentation: headings, text order, exported file and populated application fields.
